This is a wall hanging life mask of David Bowie with "Aladdin Sane" make-up made as display piece. The lifecast was originally made for make-up effects, and mask creation for his feature film work. This casting is made of a professional grade plaster which has been professionally hand painted and has a metal loop in the back for displaying. I met David Bowie at the taping of Top of the Pops in Hollywood circa 1987 and we talked about the aging and life casting process that he went through for the movie “The Hunger" and I also mentioned that I collect life masks and had an extremely detailed mold of the one he had taken for the movie "The Man Who Fell to Earth." David then asked me if I could send a copy of this cast to his offices in New York City which I certainly did followed by several other artistic castings.
